Peter, one of Jesus' twelve disciples and later one of the twelve apostles, wrote two letters to the early Church. The first letter, commonly known in the Bible as 1 Peter, was written to believers who had been scattered throughout the Roman empire, facing persecution, often severe. Peter's primary message is to trust the LORD, live obediently no matter the circumstances, and to keep hope fixed on God's ultimate promise of deliverance and an inheritance in heaven.
Join us in the Golden Prairie Church adult Bible class Sunday mornings, beginning March 1 at 9:30am, as we explore the book of 1 Peter and consider how Peter's exhortation and encouragement apply to our lives today.
